Driveway cleaning

Most of the enquiries that we receive are for driveway cleaning in Essex. Although the majority of these enquiries are for cleaning and sealing block paving, we also have the knowledge and correct equipment to clean imprinted concrete, tarmac and most types of paving slabs.

Most block paved driveways throughout areas such as Hullbridge, Thorpe Bay, Shoeburyness and Ashingdon are constructed by laying porous blocks, firmly embedded in sand. Damp conditions encourage the growth of algae, moss, lichen and weeds to grow on the surface or between the joints. If the driveway is sealed it makes it much harder for this surface growth to take hold.

Our powerful, pressure cleaning equipment will quickly remove most dirt and surface growth on driveways. We can also pre-treat and remove oil and other surface stains. After sufficient drying time has been allowed, we will replace any kiln dried sand that has been dislodged from the joints during the cleaning process.

We would then recommend that Smartseal high grade sealer is applied to safeguard the paving further. This will create a non-permeable membrane across the surface of the driveway, providing protection from UV light, general wear and tear, staining, algae and other growths.
